SAHA Programs

The South Alberta High Performance Academy is offered at the following schools:

Eagle Butte High School
Eagle Butte High School serves a wide geographic area, with a mix of about four hundred and eighty rural and urban students. Students travel from as far away as Hilda and Schuler to the north, Irvine and Walsh to the east, Elkwater to the south, Seven Persons to the southwest, and Redcliff and Ralston to the northwest. The main junior high feeder schools include Ralston, Redcliff, Seven Persons, Irvine, and Schuler. Each year we also register students from the city of Medicine Hat. 
Parkside Junior High School
Parkside School prides itself on being a "whole school". We provide the same benefits as a "sports academy, fine arts school and technology based learning center" all within the walls of Parkside. Our mission is to bring the best out of every student by being able to engage every student in an area in which they have a keen interest, thus providing success for all. The SAHA program serves students from grades 7-9 at Parkside.
Irvine School
Irvine School, a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 9 school with a student population of 320, located in the rural town of Irvine, AB, 21 kilometers east of Medicine Hat. The geographic area the school serves is very large and includes students from farm, ranch and acreage backgrounds as well as the hamlet of Dunmore (a bedroom community of Medicine Hat). The majority of our students arrive by bus some that ride anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour from outlying areas. The school population is larger than the population of Irvine. Our school supports a staff of 22 teachers and 10 support staff members. Our students move on to Eagle Butte High School, our divisional high school situated in the hamlet of Dunmore. The SAHA program serves students in grades 5-9 at Irvine School.
Foremost School
Foremost School is a Junior Kindergarten to a Grade 12 school. The SAHA program serves students in grades 5-12. Foremost School takes in a large geographical area of southern Alberta. Students come from south of Foremost from the Aden area, east from Etzikom, Manyberries and One Four, and west from the Skiff area. Our students are mainly rural based or live in small rural municipalities with small populations. Foremost being the County of Forty Mile seat with fewer than 500 residents.
Seven Persons School
Seven Persons School has unique demographic features. We have a small town feel with big city opportunities. Our schools Kindergarten to grade nine students celebrate a family atmosphere all year long. Our modern facility is bright, well equipped and very clean. We provide a safe, inviting, caring, environment for all children. Our small class sizes are conducive to learning and we provide Special Educational programming when needed. The SAHA program serves students in grades 5-9 at Seven Persons School.
South Central High School
South Central High is located in Oyen, Alberta.  Oyen is a town in east-central Alberta, Canada near the Saskatchewan boundary and north of Medicine Hat.  The SAHA program serves students in grades 7-12 at South Central High School.
Oyen Public School
Oyen Public School (OPS) is a rural school in sunny south eastern Alberta, 40km from the Saskatchewan border. We offer learning for Junior Kindergarten students through grade 6, with a student population of approximately 125 students. Our students come from many outlying areas north of the Red Deer River. The town of Oyen is a mixed farming community and is home to the Badlands Baseball Academy. The SAHA program serves students in grades 4-6 at Oyen Public.
