As the South Alberta Hockey Academy continues to lead in athletic development, we are excited to share the upcoming details for the 2026/27 SAHA High Performance program. This program addresses a shift toward a sustainable, integrated model for the 2026-27 season. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to push athletes toward their full potential through a blend of elite technical training and holistic personal development. Program Highlights: To reflect the streamlined schedule and prioritize core development, the program fee is set at $1890 for the upcoming year. In addition to our popular Christmas 3 on 3 Jamboree, student-athletes will participate in: ● Elite On-Ice Training: 42 specialized sessions focused on mastering explosive skating and high-level puck skills. ● Off-Ice Conditioning: Dedicated dryland training to build functional strength, coordination, and athletic agility throughout the season. ● Mental & Leadership Growth: Interactive classroom sessions featuring video, cognitive training, and guest speakers from the hockey industry. ● Diverse Learning Days: Interdisciplinary opportunities where students can engage with various Prairie Rose Public Schools curricular programs. SAHA High Performance students will receive a jersey, t-shirt, and shorts as well as a Christmas gift at the 3 on 3 Jamboree. Academic Integration: We prioritize the student in student-athlete. To ensure a strong finish to the school year, players will transition into their school’s CTS (trades, tech, arts) options in mid-March. The Irvine U13B Bulldogs have been crowned 2026 provincial champions! An incredible achievement that reflects their hard work, dedication, and teamwork throughout the season. We are especially proud to celebrate the six athletes from our Irvine SAHA Academy who played a key role in this success: Deacon Dulle, Hudson Saubak, Layton Herter, Lyam Labrie, Mack Gust, and Nixon Barg. The team delivered an outstanding performance all tournament long, showing resilience and determination in every game. In a thrilling championship final, the Bulldogs secured a hard-fought 5–4 victory over St. Paul. Former HP athlete Cash Olson is having a standout rookie season in the SJHL. He sits 13th in league scoring and leads all rookies in points and assists with 10 goals and 25 points in 24 games. He was also named SJHL Rookie of the Month for November. Cash spent 7 years in our program, including 5 years in our High Performance academies at MW, Parkside, and Eagle Butte. Great work, Cash.
