In just two years, the school based high performance academies have seen a growth rate of over 72%. In the spring of 2020, MacMillan was instrumental in bringing the SAHA Male and Female U18 Prep programs to southeast Alberta and he was named the program’s first General Manager. Prior to teaching, MacMillan obtained his Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge. In October of 2011, he received his Masters of Education in Coaching Studies from the University of Victoria. MacMillan’s brother, Tavis, is an assistant coach with the University of Denver Pioneers (NCAA Div I).
