Darren MacMillan
General Manager
Darren MacMillan has been an educator in Prairie Rose Public Schools since 1997. His teaching career included five years in Schuler, followed by three and a half years in Irvine, and then 17.5 years at Eagle Butte High School. In July of 2018, MacMillan was appointed Program Development Coordinator of Prairie Rose Public Schools. Part of his role was the development and implementation of the South Alberta Hockey Academy. In the first years, the school based high performance academies saw a 160% growth. In the spring of 2020, MacMillan was instrumental in bringing the SAHA Male and Female U18 Prep programs to South East Alberta and he was named the program’s first General Manager. MacMillan spearheaded the development of South Alberta High School (online platform) and was named the school’s principal in 2022. In 2024 he was appointed Director of Enhanced Programming for Prairie Rose Public Schools. Prior to teaching, MacMillan obtained his Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge. In October of 2011, he received his Masters of Education in Coaching Studies from the University of Victoria.
Cullen Bradshaw
Head Coach
Cullen began his hockey journey in Medicine Hat, playing minor hockey with the Big Country Midget AAA Tigers. He advanced to the Junior A level, where he played for the Brooks Bandits and Trail Smoke Eaters, recording an impressive 160 points in 179 games. Cullen then attended St. Norbert College, where he earned a Business degree while excelling on the ice with 131 points in 120 games over four seasons. Following college, Cullen played professionally for four years across North America and Europe. After retiring he completed his teaching degree at the University of British Columbia. Over the past two seasons, Cullen has served as an assistant coach for the U18 Prep team. With his combined experience in teaching and coaching, along with a deep background in junior, collegiate, and professional hockey, Cullen brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the development of young athletes.
